In order to become a Food Forward Receiving Agency, an organization must:
1. agree that it, or the organization of which it is a local chapter or affiliate, as applicable, shall maintain its status as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended; and
2. offer all of the produce it receives from Food Forward to any person struggling with food insecurity, without any financial cost or any other mandatory requirements or exclusions.
3. agree to receive communications from Food Forward, including updates, reminders and other relevant information.
4. donations received from Food Forward are intended for charitable distribution only and may not be sold, exchanged, or used for any purpose that generates revenue for the receiving organization.
By submitting this application, you acknowledge that Food Forward is not responsible for any injury, and/or property damage that may arise from accessing the Food Forward warehouse or when receiving produce donations from any Food Forward food distribution site. At the Food Forward warehouse, produce is moved with heavy machinery, including, but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, and rider jacks that can pose risk of serious injury, and/or property damage. By receiving produce from Food Forward, you are acknowledging the risk and agreeing to abide by any onsite directions from members of the Food Forward team.
